First Release — TrackMy.Baby

After my child was born, I quickly realized how often we need to record baby activities during feeding and daily care and how essential those records are.

At first, we used a small notebook. Later, we tried a few baby tracker apps, but none of them felt like the right fit:

  • Some had complicated interfaces and workflows that were hard to use quickly
  • Some were expensive (monthly subscriptions)
  • Some didn’t support multi-user sharing, which made it inconvenient for family to stay in sync

For a while, we mostly used a local-storage baby tracker: everything stayed on the phone and didn’t rely on the internet. Aside from “no real-time sharing” and “no one-time option to remove ads,” it covered most of what we needed.

So, as a backend engineer, I naturally thought: why not build one myself? By keeping the necessary logging features and adding online sync for multi-user sharing, TrackMy.Baby was born.

From then on, we no longer had to transfer baby data around by sending files. I can record something here, and my family can see it right away. Because it’s web-based, you can record entries from whichever device is most convenient—no need to hunt for a specific phone.

Now I’ve cleaned up and improved this tool I built for myself, and I’m officially releasing it to everyone. If your needs are similar, you’re welcome to give it a try.

If you have any questions or feature requests, feel free to reach out and discuss.

I’ll also keep updating this blog with tutorials, new features, and product updates.
